Are you looking for the healthiest cereal on the market? Well, let me first applaud you for taking the time and effort to care about your health or of that of your family! Congratulations on making a choice toward the betterment of your health! When looking for the healthiest cereal, there are several factors that must be considered. First of which is determined by the answer to the following question: How committed are you to changing your personal habits and truly creating an environment of proper health choices for yourself and your family?
Unfortunately, the truth is that cereal, as we usually define it, is not healthy at all. Pouring milk over some type of grain and consuming it is not any type of formula for good health—only digestive disaster. Still many think that by cooking a grain or oat (some kind of “meal”—corn meal, oatmeal, etc.) that you are truly eating something more healthy. Think again! Once the grain or oat has been cooked, it has lost most of its nutritional value. What happened to the enzymes that have now been cooked out of existence?! In essence, cold and hot cereals are not the healthiest cereals, nor the beneficial breakfasts that we have all been led to believe.
Instead, consider what still contains enzymes and important vitamins and minerals that your body needs. Have you thought of it yet? What’s your answer? Truly, vegetables are the best answer for the healthiest breakfast possible. I know, you were looking for the healthiest cereal, and indeed, you have found the best choice for your breakfast, but it is not cereal. Rather than filling your body with a sludge that is difficult to digest, why not treat your body with respect and choose a better alternative that will supply you with nutrients and energy!? What about an avocado (although a fruit, has some great nutritional benefits) or a few flowerets of broccoli dipped in olive oil and garlic? If you feel you need something closer to milk, why not try almonds that have been soaked in water? Blend the soft almonds in a blender with water. You will find that you can obtain a treat much like a frothy milk. Make the right choice for yourself and your family. Think differently about what breakfast “should be” and select the healthiest cereal which is instead a nutritional alternative.
